In my contribution to the group exhibition, ‘hot off the press’ I invite viewers to engage with a series of ‘takeable’ stickers that feature a variety of past works and reworked sketches.
I have always been drawn to the tactile experience of sticker making and application. Within the context of this exhibit, the humble sticker is able to challenge conventional exhibition experiences, transforming a static display into an active dialogue that continues beyond the confines of gallery walls. By encouraging viewers to take these pieces with them, I encourage a form of dissemination that is beautifully unknown, allowing my work to intertwine with stories and spaces I may never see. Through my broader practice, I aim to provoke reflection on the themes of time, absurdism, and identity and nature. In an age where art can feel distant, I strive to make it accessible and intimate, inviting a nuanced understanding of our interconnectedness. I hope that as these stickers travel, they inspire curiosity and foster dialogue in unexpected places.
