how jordaan mason made me trans my gender
12 8-page 11x8cm zines
In this zine, I’ve decided to celebrate the musician Jordaan Mason, an artist whose work has hugely influenced me. I arrived at their work at a pivotal point in my life, when I was trying to figure out why I didn’t want to be a girl anymore. Their lyrics were the first instance I found of an experience mirroring my own—a non-binary experience. The lyrics woke me up to a reality I had no idea I could be living in. I can never express how much their work has changed me, but I have tried here.
