Between
Digitally printed mixed media zine
I am a second-year fine art printmaking student living and making across the unceeded lands of the Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung peoples of the Kulin nation and the Brayakaulung people of the Gunaikurnai nation.
I use primarily printmaking techniques in combination with an array of various mediums making work that echoes my personal neurodivergent queer experience.
My regular commute on the Vline train prompted my thoughts for this project.
Thoughts such as what shade of purple is this, who am I and are we really anywhere when we are travelling through a whole bunch of somewheres?
With Lino in hand and a Myki in the other, I set out to make peace with the abstract and the liminal that exists in the world and within. Through these zines, which themselves are an amalgamation of magazine/pamphlet/abstract art, I invite people to become fellow passengers and ponder on what exists in between.
